Stonehaugh Community Hall was completed and initially opened in November 2009 following 10 years of fund raising. The new Community Hall has been match funded by Northern Rock, Tynedale Council, Awards for All, and the Government Office for the North East.
Stonehaugh is a small settlement in Northumberland about 5 miles (8 km) west of Wark and 4 Roman miles (6 km) north of Hadrian's Wall.
Stonehaugh was a purpose-built village for housing forestry workers in the 1950’s, but, with the introduction of mechanisation, the necessity for such a concentrated manpower is no longer required, so the modern population is more diverse. With families moving in from all over the UK, who contribute to this beautiful village, but, still keeping it un-spoilt and unique.
